One Way Vision Film in Dubai: See Out, and Only in Daylight
This is the film with thousands of tiny holes in it, printed on the outside and black on the inside. One way vision film in Dubai covers bus windows, shop glazing and office frontages, and it works on a single principle that also explains exactly when it stops working.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.
The Holes Are the Whole Mechanism
Perforations let somebody inside look straight through while the printed face blocks the view in. Roughly forty percent of the film is hole and sixty percent is print, and that ratio is what balances the image against the view out.
It Depends on a Light Difference
The effect needs it brighter outside than inside. Daylight does that for free. The film is not doing anything clever beyond exploiting that difference, which is why nobody can promise it works around the clock.
The Black Backing Stops Reflection
The inside face is matt black so the perforations read as dark pinholes instead of grey ones. Without it the holes catch interior light and the view out turns milky.
Artwork Loses Fine Detail
Forty percent of the image is missing by design. Small text and thin lines break up into dashes, so artwork for perforated film is built big, bold and simple, and a logo with fine lettering needs rethinking before it goes on.
It Cuts Glare and Heat as a Side Effect
Blocking more than half the glass area reduces incoming sun noticeably. Staff sitting behind a west facing window usually notice the comfort before they notice the branding.
Fitted With the Perforations Sealed at the Edge
Edges are trimmed and sealed so dirt and water cannot work into the holes along the frame, which is where perforated film normally starts to look tired.
Now the part that catches people out. After dark, with the lights on inside and the street dim, the effect reverses completely. People outside see in and people inside see their own reflection. For a restaurant open in the evening, that is a real consideration and not a small one.
