Outside Is Easy to Fit and Hard to Keep
Fitted from the pavement, no furniture moved, no access needed. It also gets rained on, cleaned with whatever the cleaner has, picked at by children and baked by direct sun. Expect two or three years from an outside sticker on a shopfront.
Inside Lasts Much Longer and Reads Backwards
Behind the glass the sticker is protected from everything. Nothing touches it and the sun reaches it through the pane. The catch is that artwork meant to be read from the street has to be printed mirrored, and the adhesive goes on the printed face.
Reverse Printing Changes the Material
An inside mounted sticker needs the image printed in reverse on clear film with the adhesive over the ink. That is a different product to a normal sticker, so a file set up for outside mounting cannot simply be flipped at the last minute.
White Backing Depends on the Side
Viewed from outside through the glass, a white layer sits behind the colour. Viewed from inside, it sits in front. Which order the layers print in is decided by the mounting side, and getting it wrong produces a sticker that looks correct from the wrong direction.
Shopfront Glass Is Often Toughened and Tinted
Dubai retail glass is frequently tinted or coated already, which shifts every colour passing through it. A sticker that matched the brand on a proof can read green or grey behind green glass, so we test against the actual pane where colour matters.
Surveyed Before Anything Prints
We look at the glass, decide the side, and confirm it in writing with you, because this is the one decision that cannot be corrected afterwards.
Being straightforward: on a double glazed unit we will not fit dark film to the inside face without checking the glass specification. Heat builds between the panes and the seal or the glass itself can fail, and that is a repair nobody wants to own.
