Frontlit 3D Letters in Dubai: Light Coming Straight at You
A frontlit letter is a shallow metal box with a glowing face. The light is inside, the acrylic front lets it out, and the whole letter reads as a bright shape from across a car park. Frontlit 3D letters in Dubai are the default shopfront letter, and the thing that separates a good one from a cheap one is entirely hidden inside.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.
The Face Has to Glow Evenly
Modules sit on a grid inside the letter, spaced against its depth. Get that wrong and the face shows bright dots with darker gaps between them. On a wide letter like an O or a D this is obvious from the street and cannot be fixed afterwards without opening the sign.
Depth Is Doing a Job
The return has to be deep enough for light to spread before it reaches the face. Shallow letters look sleek in a drawing and light badly. We work the depth from the letter width, not from the elevation.
The Trim Edge Defines the Shape
A narrow trim holds the face into the return and gives the letter a crisp outline by day. In black it reads as a drawn edge around each character, which is why a sign can look sharp switched off and soft switched on.
Daylight Is Half the Job
Most shopfronts are seen more in daylight than after dark. A white acrylic face is dull grey when unlit, so where the sign matters by day we specify a coloured or vinyl faced acrylic that reads as brand colour with the power off.
It Is Lit on the Bench First
Every letter is run in the workshop before it is crated. Weak modules show up in the first hours, and finding one here costs nothing.
Fitted to a Template
Letters go up on a drilled template so spacing matches the drawing exactly, with the wiring run back to a single driver position.
A straight word on brightness. A frontlit sign competing with a bright mall fascia needs more modules than one on a quiet street, and specifying by letter size alone ignores that. Tell us what is either side of your unit.

Setting up your file.
- 01Send the logo as a vectorLetters and shapes are cut from your outlines, so we need AI, EPS, SVG or PDF, not a screenshot or a JPEG.
- 02Measure the real spaceWidth, height and a straight-on photo of the wall or fascia. The tape measure often disagrees with the drawing.
- 03Send names as textFor plates and directories, send names and titles in a document, so nothing is retyped from an image.
- 04Tell us about power and the wallFor lit signs, where the nearest power point is. For every sign, what the wall is made of.
