Acrylic Sandwich Signage in Dubai: Colour Trapped Behind the Sheet
An acrylic sandwich sign is two layers with the graphic between them. Cast acrylic is reverse printed and backed with white, so the colour is viewed through the sheet instead of sitting on its surface. Acrylic sandwich signage in Dubai looks considerably more expensive than it costs, and the reason is entirely in that order of assembly.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.
The Print Goes On the Back
Artwork is printed mirrored onto the reverse face. Once the sheet is turned over, the acrylic itself sits in front of the ink, giving the colour a depth that surface printing cannot produce.
A White Layer Goes Behind the Colour
Without it, the wall shows through and every colour shifts. The white backing makes the graphic read true against any surface and is printed as part of the same pass.
The Ink Cannot Be Damaged
Because the print is on the rear, the front face is bare acrylic. Cleaning, fingerprints and knocks reach the material and never the graphic, which is why these survive reception areas so well.
Edges Are Polished
Every panel is supplied with polished edges, so light gathers at the perimeter and the sign carries a bright outline against the wall.
Standoffs Complete It
Stainless standoff bolts hold the panel clear of the wall. The shadow behind and the glowing edge together are most of the effect, and both come from that gap.
Installed Across Dubai
We fit these ourselves. Add installation to your brief and we will quote the site visit alongside the panel. For a set of panels across a floor we fit them in one visit and level each one individually, since a run of standoff panels shows any drift immediately, and a panel half a degree out is obvious beside a level one.
One honest limitation: reverse printing means what you see is the back of the ink, so very dark backgrounds can look slightly flat compared with a direct print. On a predominantly black design we would print direct and laminate instead.

Setting up your file.
- 01Send the logo as a vectorLetters and shapes are cut from your outlines, so we need AI, EPS, SVG or PDF, not a screenshot or a JPEG.
- 02Measure the real spaceWidth, height and a straight-on photo of the wall or fascia. The tape measure often disagrees with the drawing.
- 03Send names as textFor plates and directories, send names and titles in a document, so nothing is retyped from an image.
- 04Tell us about power and the wallFor lit signs, where the nearest power point is. For every sign, what the wall is made of.
