Wall Mounted Signage in Dubai: Fixing Decided by the Wall
Most signage problems in an office are fixing problems. Wall mounted signage in Dubai goes onto plasterboard partitions, blockwork, glass, timber panelling and feature finishes, and the right method is set by what is behind the surface and not by the sign itself.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.
Standoffs Are the Default
Polished bolts hold the panel a short distance off the wall. The gap gives a shadow line, hides small irregularities in the surface and lets the panel come off cleanly for redecoration.
Plasterboard Needs an Anchor
A hollow partition will not hold a screw alone. Either a proper cavity anchor or a fixing into the stud behind, and for anything heavy we find the studs before agreeing a position.
Feature Finishes Change the Answer
Marble, timber veneer and fabric panels are expensive and often cannot be drilled at all. These get a sign on a separate backing board fixed at a joint, or a panel suspended just clear of the finish.
Tape Works in a Narrow Set of Cases
On a smooth, clean, non porous surface, heavy duty tape holds a light panel indefinitely. On textured paint, bare plaster or anything dusty, it will fail, and no amount of pressing changes that.
Height Is Set Once Across the Floor
All signs of a type go at the same height from finished floor level. Measuring instead from a door frame or a ceiling makes signs wander visibly along a corridor, because neither of those is as level as it looks.
Levelled Individually
Each panel is set with a level, not aligned to the one beside it, since an error carried along a run compounds into something obvious by the fifth sign. On a long corridor we mark every position from one datum before drilling anything.
Something we will always raise before quoting: tell us if drilling is prohibited. It changes the material, the size and sometimes whether the sign is possible at all, and finding out on the day means leaving without fitting anything.

Setting up your file.
- 01Send the logo as a vectorLetters and shapes are cut from your outlines, so we need AI, EPS, SVG or PDF, not a screenshot or a JPEG.
- 02Measure the real spaceWidth, height and a straight-on photo of the wall or fascia. The tape measure often disagrees with the drawing.
- 03Send names as textFor plates and directories, send names and titles in a document, so nothing is retyped from an image.
- 04Tell us about power and the wallFor lit signs, where the nearest power point is. For every sign, what the wall is made of.
