Folder Printing in Dubai: A Flat Sheet That Becomes a Pocket
A presentation folder starts as one large printed sheet, gets cut to a shape with flaps hanging off it, and is then folded and glued into something that holds paper. Folder printing in Dubai is a die cutting and gluing job with printing attached to the front of it.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.
The Shape Comes From a Die
The outline, the pocket flaps and any card slit are all stamped out in one pass by a shaped cutting tool. Standard A4 folder shapes run on tooling we hold, and an unusual pocket arrangement needs a die made first.
Pocket Glue Points Decide the Strength
Pockets are formed by folding flaps inward and gluing them at the edges. Two glue points per pocket hold a reasonable stack. One glue point and the pocket gapes open and spills paper on a table.
A Card Slit Is Worth the Millimetres
Two short diagonal cuts in the pocket hold a business card at the corner. It costs nothing on the die and it stops the card falling out and getting lost, which is otherwise exactly what happens.
Capacity Needs a Gusset
A flat folder holds perhaps twenty sheets before it bulges and the front will not sit down. A folder with a creased spine gusset expands and closes properly over a thick document, and that gusset has to be designed in.
Lamination Is Normal Here
Folders are carried, stacked and handled, and an unlaminated folder shows every fingermark along the opening edge within a day. Matt lamination on the outside is close to standard on this item.
Supplied Flat or Made Up
Folders can ship flat and glued for assembly on site, which saves a great deal of box space, or made up ready to fill. Tell us which, because it changes how many fit in a carton.
Being clear about capacity. A printed folder is not a file. If it has to hold a full tender submission it will struggle, and a ring binder or a box file with a printed wrap is the honest answer for anything thicker than a prospectus.

Setting up your file.
- 01Work at the finished sizeSet the page to the exact trimmed size of the piece, not a larger sheet with crop marks drawn in.
- 02Add 3 mm bleedRun background colour and images 3 mm past every edge that gets trimmed, so no white line shows after cutting.
- 03Keep text off the edgeHold text and logos at least 4 mm inside the trim line, clear of the blade.
- 04Send a print-ready PDFCMYK, fonts embedded or outlined, images at 300 dpi at final size. AI, EPS and high-resolution JPEG also work.
