Custom Seals in Dubai: An Impression Pressed Into the Paper
A seal uses no ink at all. Two machined metal dies squeeze a sheet of paper between them and deform it, leaving a raised impression you can feel with a thumb. Custom seals in Dubai are used on certificates, legal documents, company records and anything that has to resist being copied.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.
It Works by Deforming the Fibres
The paper is permanently crushed into the shape of the die. Nothing is applied and nothing can be washed off, and a photocopy of a sealed document shows a flat grey patch where the impression was. That is the security.
Two Dies Have to Fit Each Other
A male die pushes up and a female die receives it, machined as a matched pair to a tolerance. This is why a seal costs more than a rubber stamp and why the tooling takes longer to produce.
Paper Weight Decides Whether It Shows
On thin paper the impression is weak and tears easily. Heavy uncoated stock holds a crisp, deep emboss. A seal on photocopier paper is barely visible, which defeats the purpose of using one.
Hand Press or Desk Press
A pocket pliers press travels and takes a little muscle. A long arm desk press gives a deeper, more even impression with far less effort, which matters when somebody is sealing two hundred certificates in a sitting.
The Design Has to Be Simple
An emboss has no colour and no tone, only raised and flat. Fine detail, small text and anything relying on shading disappears. Seals are traditionally a ring of text around a simple central mark for exactly this reason.
An Impression Taken Before Delivery
We press one on your chosen stock and send it, since the depth of an emboss depends on the paper and cannot be judged any other way.
Worth stating directly: a seal is not a substitute for a company stamp where an authority specifically asks for an inked stamp. Many processes in the UAE want a visible inked impression, and an embossed seal will not satisfy that. Most organisations end up holding both.

Setting up your file.
- 01Work at the finished sizeSet the page to the exact trimmed size of the piece, not a larger sheet with crop marks drawn in.
- 02Add 3 mm bleedRun background colour and images 3 mm past every edge that gets trimmed, so no white line shows after cutting.
- 03Keep text off the edgeHold text and logos at least 4 mm inside the trim line, clear of the blade.
- 04Send a print-ready PDFCMYK, fonts embedded or outlined, images at 300 dpi at final size. AI, EPS and high-resolution JPEG also work.
