Partial Vehicle Branding in Dubai: Designing With the Car's Own Colour
A partial wrap leaves some of the vehicle showing, which means the paint becomes part of the design whether you planned it or not. Partial vehicle branding in Dubai covers roughly a quarter to three quarters of the body, and the exposed colour is the thing to design around.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.
The Existing Paint Is a Design Element
On a white van the bare panels read as background and almost anything works. On a dark grey or metallic vehicle the paint is a strong colour that your artwork has to sit against deliberately. We ask for the exact vehicle colour before designing.
The Edge Belongs on a Panel Line
Where the vinyl stops is the most visible decision in the whole job. Ending on a door shut, a swage line or a body crease looks intentional. Ending halfway across a flat panel looks like the job ran out of material.
It Costs Far Less Than Full Coverage
Less material, far less labour and no stripping of bumpers and mirrors. A partial wrap on the lower two thirds of a van gets most of the visual effect of a full wrap for a fraction of the time and cost.
Rear Quarters Do the Most Work
In traffic, the back and the rear sides of a vehicle are what people spend time looking at. A partial design concentrated there outperforms the same budget spread thinly along the whole flank.
It Is Quicker to Change
A campaign or a sponsor can be replaced by removing and refitting one section instead of the whole vehicle. For a fleet that changes messaging, that flexibility is the main reason to choose partial over full.
Edges Marked Up on the Vehicle
We tape the proposed cut lines onto the actual vehicle and photograph them for approval, because a cut line that looks right on a template rarely lands on the same crease in reality.
A caution about colour match. If the design relies on printed vinyl meeting the paint in a continuous colour, it will not match. Printed vinyl and automotive paint behave differently in sunlight, and the join will be visible. Designs that contrast deliberately avoid the problem entirely.

Quick answers.
No. Design a contrast instead of a continuous colour.
On a panel line or body crease, never mid panel.
The rear and rear quarters. That is what traffic sees.
