Hoarding and Billboard Signboards in Dubai: Rigid Panels, Not Fabric
There is a point where a printed banner stops being the right answer and a rigid board takes over. Hoarding and billboard signboards in Dubai are built where the graphic has to stay perfectly flat, survive years outdoors and look like part of the structure instead of something tied to it.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.
The Frame Comes Before the Face
A steel or aluminium subframe is set out first, sized so panel joints land on a member. Without that, panels flex in the middle and the whole board reads as wavy under raking light.
Panels Go Up in Manageable Pieces
A large board is several composite panels fixed to the frame, not one enormous sheet. Panel size follows what a crew can lift and hold square at height, which is usually smaller than the material is available in.
Joints Are Designed In
Where two panels meet, the join runs the full height and cannot be hidden. We place those lines on a deliberate break in the artwork so they read as part of the design.
Print Is Laminated or Direct
Either a UV print straight onto the composite, or printed vinyl applied and laminated. Direct printing is cleaner and faster. Applied vinyl allows a replacement face later without touching the board.
It Is Engineered for Wind
A rigid board catches wind as a solid surface with no give at all, so the frame and its fixings are the real engineering, particularly on anything freestanding or above head height.
Faces Can Be Replaced
Where the frame stays, a new printed face goes on without rebuilding anything, which is how long running sites update a hoarding between phases. On a multi year project that can mean three or four face changes against one frame, and the frame is where the real cost sits.
The point to settle at the start is permanence. A rigid board is a small construction job with foundations or structural fixings. If the message changes within a year, a tensioned banner on a frame does the same work for a fraction of the cost and effort.

Setting up your file.
- 01Send the logo as a vectorLetters and shapes are cut from your outlines, so we need AI, EPS, SVG or PDF, not a screenshot or a JPEG.
- 02Measure the real spaceWidth, height and a straight-on photo of the wall or fascia. The tape measure often disagrees with the drawing.
- 03Send names as textFor plates and directories, send names and titles in a document, so nothing is retyped from an image.
- 04Tell us about power and the wallFor lit signs, where the nearest power point is. For every sign, what the wall is made of.
