UV Printing in Dubai: The Ink Is Dry Before It Moves
Ordinary ink dries by soaking in or evaporating, which takes time and needs an absorbent surface. UV ink hardens the instant a lamp passes over it. UV printing in Dubai uses that one property to print directly onto materials that absorb nothing at all.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.
A Lamp Cures It in Line
Lamps travel with the print head, so each band of ink is solid before the next is laid beside it. Nothing spreads, nothing soaks and nothing needs drying time, which is why a UV printed panel can be handled immediately.
It Prints Straight Onto Rigid Material
Acrylic, aluminium composite, foamboard, glass, wood, tile and Forex go on a flatbed and are printed directly. No vinyl is applied and nothing is mounted afterwards, so there is no edge to lift and no bubble to trap.
White Ink Makes Clear Materials Work
A layer of white under the colour gives opacity on acrylic or glass, and printed over the colour lets a panel read correctly from the reverse. Being able to print white is what makes this process suit transparent substrates.
Layers Can Be Built Into Texture
Because each pass cures instantly, ink can be laid over ink to build a raised surface you can feel. Braille, textured panels and a spot gloss effect all come from stacking cured layers.
It Has No Drying Queue
Panels come off the bed finished. On a signage job with a tight programme that removes a whole stage from the schedule, which is often the reason the process is chosen.
Tested on Your Substrate
We print and scratch a sample of the exact material you are supplying, because adhesion varies between two sheets that look identical.
On adhesion to slick surfaces, we are careful. UV ink sits on top of the material instead of soaking in, so on glass, some metals and glossy plastics it can be scratched off with effort. Those substrates need a primer or a coating, and we test a corner of your actual material before committing.
Compare with screen printing, large format panel signs, and production methods.
Setting up your file.
- 01Work at the finished sizeSet the page to the exact trimmed size of the piece, not a larger sheet with crop marks drawn in.
- 02Add 3 mm bleedRun background colour and images 3 mm past every edge that gets trimmed, so no white line shows after cutting.
- 03Keep text off the edgeHold text and logos at least 4 mm inside the trim line, clear of the blade.
- 04Send a print-ready PDFCMYK, fonts embedded or outlined, images at 300 dpi at final size. AI, EPS and high-resolution JPEG also work.
Quick answers.
Acrylic, metal, glass, wood, tile and board, directly.
Yes, which is what makes clear materials work.
On slick surfaces without a primer, it can. We test first.
