Standard Business Cards in Dubai: The Specification That Is Already Right
Most people who ask for something better do not need it. Standard business cards in Dubai mean around three hundred and fifty grams of board, printed both sides, laminated, cut to the usual ninety by fifty five millimetres, and that combination has been the default for a long time because it works.
Quantity: 100 cards · Printed sides: Single sided · Paper stock: 300gsm Matt Art · Finish: No lamination · Corners: Square · Turnaround: Standard — 2 working days

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.
Three Hundred and Fifty Grams Is the Working Weight
Thick enough that it does not flex when held by one corner, thin enough that a hundred of them fit a jacket pocket. Below three hundred a card feels like a leaflet, and the person receiving it notices before they read a word.
Both Sides Cost the Same as One
The sheet goes through the press twice regardless of what is on the back, so a blank reverse saves nothing. That back face is free space for a tagline, a QR code, an Arabic version of the details or simply a solid brand colour.
A Laminate Is Not an Upgrade Here
Matt lamination on a standard card stops scuffing, resists the oil from fingers and keeps dark colours looking solid. It costs very little and it is the difference between a card that still looks new after a month in a wallet and one that does not.
Ninety by Fifty Five Fits Everything
Wallets, card holders, Rolodex slots and the little pockets in folders are all built around this size. A square or oversized card is a real design decision with a real cost, which is that somebody has to fold or bend it to put it away.
Short Runs Are Digital and Quick
A box or two runs digitally with no plates and no setup, which is why a hundred cards can be ready in a couple of days. The same job as offset would cost more and take longer at that quantity.
Printed, Cut and Counted in Boxes
Cards arrive counted into boxes so a receptionist handing out a set knows what is left without tipping them onto a desk.
Here is the one honest reservation. On a matt laminated card, a pen will not write. If anybody on your team adds a mobile number or a note by hand, ask for one side left unlaminated, because discovering this at a networking event is a small but real annoyance.

Setting up your file.
- 01Work at the finished sizeSet the page to the exact trimmed size of the piece, not a larger sheet with crop marks drawn in.
- 02Add 3 mm bleedRun background colour and images 3 mm past every edge that gets trimmed, so no white line shows after cutting.
- 03Keep text off the edgeHold text and logos at least 4 mm inside the trim line, clear of the blade.
- 04Send a print-ready PDFCMYK, fonts embedded or outlined, images at 300 dpi at final size. AI, EPS and high-resolution JPEG also work.
Quick answers.
Ninety by fifty five millimetres, which fits every wallet.
Very little. The sheet goes through the press anyway.
Not on matt laminate. Ask for one side bare.
