Tags Printing in Dubai: Hanging From a Hole and a String
A swing tag carries its whole weight on one small hole. Tags printing in Dubai covers price tags, gift tags, care labels and product swing tickets, and almost everything that goes wrong with them happens at that hole.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.
The Hole Needs Reinforcing
Card tears from a punched hole under repeated pulling. A metal eyelet spreads the load and turns a tag that lasts a week into one that lasts the life of the product. On anything handled in a shop, the eyelet is not optional.
Where the Hole Sits Changes How It Hangs
Centred at the top, a tag hangs square. Offset to a corner, it hangs at an angle, which can be deliberate and is more often an accident. Decide it at artwork stage, since the punch position is fixed once the die is set.
The String Is Part of the Specification
Cotton, elastic, waxed cord, ribbon or a plastic tagging pin each suit different products and different attachment points. Garments usually take a loop and a safety pin, boxes take a ribbon, and the choice affects how the tag is fitted in store.
Both Faces Get Used
Front carries the brand and the product, back carries the code, the size, the care instructions or the barcode. A tag is one of the few small items where the reverse always has a job.
Shape Comes From a Die
Rectangular with rounded corners runs on standard tooling. Any other outline needs a die made, which is a one off cost worth paying only if the shape is part of the brand.
Punched, Eyeleted and Strung to Order
We can supply tags flat with the holes punched, or fully strung and ready to attach, which saves a retail team hours of threading.
The weak point is the hole, and there is a limit to what an eyelet fixes. A heavy item hung from a paper tag will eventually tear it out whatever the reinforcement, so above a certain product weight the tag needs tying round the item instead of hanging from it.
Compare with door hanger printing, product labels, and marketing collateral printing.

Setting up your file.
- 01Work at the finished sizeSet the page to the exact trimmed size of the piece, not a larger sheet with crop marks drawn in.
- 02Add 3 mm bleedRun background colour and images 3 mm past every edge that gets trimmed, so no white line shows after cutting.
- 03Keep text off the edgeHold text and logos at least 4 mm inside the trim line, clear of the blade.
- 04Send a print-ready PDFCMYK, fonts embedded or outlined, images at 300 dpi at final size. AI, EPS and high-resolution JPEG also work.
