Two Sheets Means One Transfer
Pen pressure only has to reach through a single layer, so the copy comes out sharp and dark. Every part added after this one makes the bottom sheet fainter, which is why a two part set reads better than a four part one ever will.
White and Pink Is the Convention
A white top and a coloured second sheet lets anybody tell at a glance which copy they are holding. Colour is doing the filing, and it works better than a printed label saying office copy.
Loose Sets or Bound Both Work
Bound into a book with a stub, the copy stays with you automatically. Supplied as loose glued sets, both parts leave together and get filed separately, which suits a form going into an envelope.
It Needs No Perforation if Loose
A bound book needs the top sheet perforated to tear out cleanly. A loose set is simply glued at the head and pulls apart, which removes a finishing step and a small cost.
Two Parts Suit a Counter
Where a customer is standing in front of somebody, two parts is the natural arrangement. They take one, you keep one, and nothing has to be routed anywhere afterwards.
Collated in the Right Order
Top sheets and second sheets have different coatings, so we check the collation on a sample from every batch before binding.
Being clear about what cannot change later: a book is fixed at the part count it was printed with. Adding a third copy means a new print run, so if a department might need its own copy in six months, decide that now instead of reprinting then.

- 02Add 3 mm bleedRun background colour and images 3 mm past every edge that gets trimmed, so no white line shows after cutting.
