The Plastic Type Changes the Feel
Tritan and similar rigid plastics are clear, hard and feel like a proper bottle. Softer polyethylene squeezes and is cheaper. The difference is obvious in the hand immediately, and it is the main thing separating two bottles at similar prices.
Print Has to Key to the Surface
Plastic is non porous, so screen printed ink needs a compatible base and a curing stage to bond. Done properly it survives hand washing. Done cheaply it peels at the edges within weeks, and that peeling is the usual complaint on this product.
The Lid Is a Separate Decision
A flip top, a straw lid, a sports spout or a plain screw cap. Sports spouts suit running events. Straw lids suit children. A plain cap is cheapest and the least likely to break, since the lid is the part that gets lost first.
Volume Is Where the Price Falls Away
Setup for screen printing is spread across the run, so a thousand bottles cost far less each than a hundred. This is a product that genuinely rewards ordering the quantity you need for the year.
Capacity Follows the Activity
Around five hundred millilitres is a desk and gym bottle. Seven hundred and fifty upward suits sport and outdoor work. A larger bottle is heavier and a smaller one gets refilled more often.
Washed by Hand on a Sample
We hand wash a decorated sample repeatedly and check the print edges, which is where a weak ink bond shows itself first.
The thing nobody wants to hear is dishwasher survival. Most printed plastic bottles are not dishwasher safe, whatever the box says, because the heat lifts the ink and distorts thin plastic. Tell recipients to hand wash, and expect some will not.
