Six weeks, ten weeks, one quarter. Because the removal date is known, a cheaper film with a lighter laminate is the correct specification, and spending on a five year material is spending on time the graphic will never see.
Mall Hoardings Come With a Rulebook
Shopping centres specify the hoarding height, the panel colour, what may appear on it and where the contractor notice sits. Get that document from mall management first, because almost every rejected hoarding graphic was designed without it.
The Board Underneath Is Rarely Smooth
Hoarding is usually painted plywood or MDF with screw heads, filler and joints showing. Film follows all of it, so screw dimples and board joins will read through the graphic unless the carpenter has filled and sanded first.
The Message Is Short by Necessity
People walk past this at speed. A brand, a few words and an opening date is the whole brief. Floor plans, long descriptions and small print belong somewhere people can stop.
It Has to Come Off a Rented Surface
The hoarding belongs to the mall or the contractor and will be reused or inspected. A removable adhesive and a clean lift at the end avoids a charge that can exceed what the graphic cost.
Fitted and Lifted to Your Dates
We install around the contractor's programme and come back to strip it on handover, which is usually a condition of the hoarding permit anyway.
Worth knowing about the short life. These are not built to be moved. Once a hoarding panel graphic is lifted it is finished, so if the opening date slips by two months, plan on reprinting instead of storing and refitting.
