Floor Graphics and Wall Wraps in Dubai: One Image Across Two Surfaces
This is the installation where a graphic starts on the floor, climbs the skirting and carries on up the wall as though the room were painted. Floor graphics and wall wraps in Dubai turn activation spaces, showrooms and exhibition stands into one continuous surface, and the junction is the whole job.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.
The Corner Is Where It Succeeds or Fails
Floor and wall meet at a line that is never quite straight and never quite ninety degrees. The graphic has to cross it with no gap, no bubble and no break in the pattern. Everything else about this work is ordinary printing.
Two Surfaces Need Two Materials
The floor section takes a heavy slip rated laminate. The wall section takes a thin conformable film. They are different products joined at the corner, because a single material cannot survive footfall and also wrap round a skirting.
Perspective Has to Be Drawn for a Viewpoint
An image that reads as continuous from the doorway will look stretched from the side. We set the artwork to one standing position, usually the entrance, and everything is distorted to be correct from there.
Skirtings and Sockets Get Decided in Advance
Run over a skirting, stop at it, or remove it. Wrap a socket or cut around it. These are small decisions that look like an afterthought if nobody makes them, and they have to be made before the panels are sized.
Panels Are Planned Around the Room
Material comes in fixed widths, so a large wrap is several panels with overlaps. We put the joins where they are least visible, which means measuring the actual room instead of trusting a floor plan.
Surveyed, Then Printed to Measurement
We measure the room, mark the corner line and print to those dimensions, because a wrap cut to a drawing arrives the wrong size almost every time.
One caution about the illusion. It works from the viewpoint it was drawn for and weakens as people move. From directly beside it, a floor to wall perspective graphic reads as two separate pieces. Photographs from the intended spot will always look better than standing there.
