Nothing about a wall graphic is really about printing. Wall sticker printing in Dubai succeeds or fails on the paint it is going onto, and the single most useful question we can ask is what was rolled onto that wall and how long ago.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.
Fresh Paint Will Not Hold It
Emulsion needs around two to four weeks to cure properly. Stick film to a wall painted last weekend and the adhesive bonds to paint that is still releasing solvent, and the graphic drops off or takes the paint with it.
Matt Emulsion Is the Difficult One
Cheap matt emulsion is chalky and has almost nothing for adhesive to grip. Silk, eggshell and satin finishes hold film well. If the wall is flat matt, expect either poor adhesion or paint damage on removal, and sometimes both.
Texture Fights the Film
A lightly textured wall can take a conformable film squeezed down hard. Anything heavily textured or stippled leaves air pockets under the graphic that no amount of squeezing removes, and those show as grey patches.
Removal Is the Conversation Nobody Has
A permanent adhesive on plasterboard will peel the paper facing. A removable one lifts cleanly from a good paint finish and still may not from a poor one. Decide now whether the wall has to go back to how it was.
Large Walls Are Panelled With Overlaps
Above material width, a wall graphic is several panels overlapped by a few millimetres. We plan where those joins land, keeping them off faces, text and anything with a straight edge running through it.
Tested on a Patch First
On anything uncertain we stick a small piece in a corner, leave it, and pull it off. That ten minute test has saved more walls than any specification.
Here is where it can go wrong. On a wall we have not seen, we cannot promise the graphic will stay up or come off cleanly, because both depend entirely on paint we did not apply. For a leased office we will say so in writing before fitting.

- 02Match resolution to distanceSomething read from a few metres away needs far less resolution than a business card. Around 100 dpi at full size is usually plenty.
