Menu Printing in Dubai: Touched by Every Diner, Changed Every Season
A menu is handled more times a day than any other printed item a business owns. It is held with wet hands, put down in a spill and read in dim light. Menu printing in Dubai has to survive all of that and then be replaced the moment a dish changes.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.
The Surface Has to Be Wiped
A laminated or synthetic menu takes a cloth and keeps going. Bare card absorbs oil and water, darkens along the handled edge and looks tired within a fortnight. Any menu staying on a table needs a wipeable face, and that is not a style decision.
It Is Read in Restaurant Light
Dining rooms are deliberately dim. Small, light weight type on a dark background disappears, and so does low contrast grey on cream. Menu type runs larger and heavier than it would on anything else printed.
Dishes Change More Often Than Covers
A fixed printed cover with a replaceable insert means a seasonal change is a cheap reprint of one sheet. Printing the whole thing as a single piece means binning the lot every time the kitchen drops a dish.
Size Is Set by the Table
A menu that overhangs a small table or collides with the cutlery gets folded and put aside. Measure the smallest table in the room and work to that, since the largest table is never the constraint.
Covers and Holders Change the Format
A menu going into a leather cover or a clip holder is printed as a loose sheet to a specific size. A standalone menu needs its own weight and finish to hold up unsupported. These are two different jobs from the same content.
Supplied With a Spare Set
We print and hold the file ready for the insert reprint, so a dish change is a one sheet order and not a new project.
The part restaurants underestimate is quantity. Menus go missing, get stained beyond use and get taken by guests. Order comfortably more than the cover count, because reprinting a short run at short notice costs more per menu than printing the right number first time.
Compare with table tents, booklet printing, and marketing collateral printing.

Setting up your file.
- 01Work at the finished sizeSet the page to the exact trimmed size of the piece, not a larger sheet with crop marks drawn in.
- 02Add 3 mm bleedRun background colour and images 3 mm past every edge that gets trimmed, so no white line shows after cutting.
- 03Keep text off the edgeHold text and logos at least 4 mm inside the trim line, clear of the blade.
- 04Send a print-ready PDFCMYK, fonts embedded or outlined, images at 300 dpi at final size. AI, EPS and high-resolution JPEG also work.
