Thickness Decides the Pull
Sheet comes in several thicknesses, commonly from about point four to point eight of a millimetre. Thin is cheaper and flexible. Thick holds considerably harder and stays flatter, and the difference in grip between the two is not subtle. Pick it up in your hand before you commit to a size.
It Prints Like Vinyl
Printed vinyl is laminated onto the magnetic face, so colour quality is identical to any other sticker. The magnet is doing the holding and the vinyl is doing the looking, so a printed magnet and a printed sticker come off the same machine looking identical.
Cut to Whatever Rectangle You Need
A guillotine gives square corners and a cutter gives rounded ones. Rounded corners are worth asking for on anything handled daily, since a square corner is where lifting and peeling starts. It costs nothing to round them and it adds months to the life of a board.
Weight Works Against Grip
A large thin sheet printed with a heavy design will creep downward on a vertical steel door over a few days. Either go thicker or go smaller. Those are genuinely the only two answers. We will tell you which way to go once we know the panel size.
It Stores Flat or It Stores Badly
Magnetic sheet keeps whatever shape it is left in. Rolled in a tube for a month it stays curled, and a curled sheet never sits properly again.
Supplied Flat Between Boards
Sheets leave here flat, boarded on both faces, never rolled, because the storage is the part that ruins this material.
We should mention the one thing people get caught by. Two magnetic sheets stacked face to face will repel or slide apart, because the magnetism runs in stripes through the material. Stack them with paper between and in the same orientation.

- 01Work at the finished sizeSet the page to the exact trimmed size of the piece, not a larger sheet with crop marks drawn in.
- 02Add 3 mm bleedRun background colour and images 3 mm past every edge that gets trimmed, so no white line shows after cutting.
- 03Keep text off the edgeHold text and logos at least 4 mm inside the trim line, clear of the blade.
- 04Send a print-ready PDFCMYK, fonts embedded or outlined, images at 300 dpi at final size. AI, EPS and high-resolution JPEG also work.
