LED Ticker Displays in Dubai: One Line, Always Moving
A ticker is a long narrow screen showing a single line of scrolling text. No video, no images, one row of characters moving steadily across. LED ticker displays in Dubai sit above counters, along mezzanine edges and at exchange and clinic reception desks, doing one job cheaply.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.
It Is Long and Barely Tall
Typical units are a few metres wide and only a few centimetres high. That shape lets them sit in places no rectangular screen fits, like the fascia above a service counter or the edge of a balcony.
Scroll Speed Is the Setting That Matters
Too fast and nobody finishes a sentence. Too slow and the message takes so long that people stop watching. We set it with you on site against the actual text length.
Text Only Keeps It Cheap
Because it is displaying characters and not video, the controller is simple and the module count is low. A ticker is a fraction of the price of an equivalent length of full screen.
Updating Is Usually Local
Most units take their message over a short cable from a nearby computer, or by remote. Rates, queue numbers and offers get changed by someone at the desk in a few seconds.
Single Colour Is Often Enough
Amber or red single colour tickers are the traditional choice and remain the most readable from a distance. Full colour versions exist and cost more, and the extra rarely improves legibility.
Fitted Above the Line of Sight
Tickers go slightly above eye level so they are visible over a queue. We check sight lines from the back of the waiting area and not from the counter, because the people who most need the information are the ones furthest from it.
We should say where this is the wrong product. A ticker cannot hold a logo, a photograph or a layout. If the brief is really about branding a counter, a printed panel or a small screen will serve far better than scrolling text ever can.

Setting up your file.
- 01Send the logo as a vectorLetters and shapes are cut from your outlines, so we need AI, EPS, SVG or PDF, not a screenshot or a JPEG.
- 02Measure the real spaceWidth, height and a straight-on photo of the wall or fascia. The tape measure often disagrees with the drawing.
- 03Send names as textFor plates and directories, send names and titles in a document, so nothing is retyped from an image.
- 04Tell us about power and the wallFor lit signs, where the nearest power point is. For every sign, what the wall is made of.
