Full Coverage Costs the Same as a Logo
The top fabric is printed by sublimation before it is bonded to the rubber, so a photograph edge to edge costs no more than a small mark in a corner. Underusing that area is the only mistake available here.
The Rubber Base Does the Gripping
A natural rubber backing stays put on a desk. A cheap foam or hard plastic base slides, and a mouse pad that moves under the hand gets thrown away quickly whatever is printed on it.
Thickness Changes How It Feels
Two millimetres is thin and flexible and rolls for shipping. Three to four millimetres feels substantial and lies dead flat on a desk. Thicker also means it will not roll, which affects how it packs and posts.
The Edge Is Sealed or Stitched
A heat sealed edge is clean and cheap and can lift at a corner over time. A stitched border holds permanently and reads as a better product. On anything intended as a gift, the stitched edge is worth it.
It Stays on the Desk for Years
Unlike almost anything else in this category, a mouse pad is not consumed and not worn out. The design will be looked at daily for a long time, which is an argument for a quieter design and against a dated campaign slogan.
