Custom Tote Bags in Dubai: Cotton That Gets Washed and Reused
A cotton tote is the bag people keep. It goes in a car boot, comes out at a supermarket, gets washed when it needs it and carries on for years. Custom tote bags in Dubai are the longest lived item in this category, and the fabric weight is what decides that.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.
Fabric Weight Separates the Good From the Thin
Light cotton around one hundred grams is a conference giveaway that stretches out of shape. Canvas at two hundred and twenty and above holds its form, stands up when full and feels like a bag somebody bought. The difference in cost is small and the difference in life is years.
Strap Length Decides How It Is Carried
Short handles are carried in the hand. Longer straps go over a shoulder, which is what people actually want when the bag is full. Measure for a shoulder and the bag gets used far more often.
Smooth Cotton Takes Detailed Print
Unlike jute, cotton has a flat close weave, so screen printing holds fine lines and small text, and full colour transfer or direct printing is possible. This is the bag to choose when the artwork is detailed.
Seams and Stitching Carry the Weight
A tote fails where the strap meets the body. Bar tacked or double stitched joins at those four points hold a loaded bag. A single row of stitching pulls out, usually at the worst moment.
It Washes and Comes Back
Cotton goes in a machine, which no other bag here does. A screen printed mark survives that repeatedly. A thin heat applied transfer will crack and lift after a few washes, so the print method matters if the bag is meant to last.
Washed Once on a Sample
We machine wash a printed sample before a large order is confirmed, because the wash is what separates a durable print from a cheap one.
The honest point about cotton is shrinkage. A natural cotton bag will shrink slightly on its first wash and the print shrinks with it, which is fine on a logo and visible on a design that runs edge to edge. Pre shrunk canvas avoids it and costs a little more.
Compare with jute bags, drawstring bags, and printed bag options.

Setting up your file.
- 01Send the logo as a vectorAI, EPS, SVG or PDF. Engraving, embroidery and screen printing all work from clean outlines.
- 02Keep it simple for small areasA pen barrel or a cap front holds a few centimetres of artwork. A simple logo reads better than a full lockup with a tagline.
- 03Give us the Pantone numbersIf a brand colour has to match, send the Pantone reference. Some methods print a limited number of colours.
- 04Send the breakdownFor clothing, the quantity in each size. For gift sets, how many of each item go in every box.
