Office Name Boards in Dubai: One Panel, Forty Names
A name board is the panel in a lobby or lift area that lists everybody, or every department, or every floor. Office name boards in Dubai have a problem no single plate has: the list is out of date the moment it is made, and the design either accepts that or fights it.
Office Name Boards: tell us the size, the quantity and the date you need it by.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.
The List Decides the Size
Before anything else we need the full list and a sense of how much it grows. A board sized exactly to today's forty names is full on day one, and the forty first person ends up on a printed label taped underneath it.
Rows Are Built to Be Lifted Out
Each line sits in a channel as its own strip. Changing one name means sliding out one strip, not remaking the board. This single decision is the difference between a board that stays current and one that gets quietly ignored.
The Header Stays Fixed
Company name, logo and any floor heading are permanent and usually engraved or printed directly onto the backing panel. These are the parts that will not change, so they can be done properly in the material.
Reading Distance Sets the Type Size
A board read from two metres in a lift lobby can carry small type and many lines. One read from across a reception floor cannot, and trying to do both from one board is how you end up with something nobody reads at either distance.
It Gets Fitted Level and Lit
Boards are hung on a hidden rail so the whole panel can come off the wall for major changes. We check the lighting in the position, since a glossy board under a downlight reflects straight back at the reader.
Strips Later
Replacement strips are made to the same spec whenever you need them, so a board installed this year keeps matching for as long as it is up.
The honest difficulty is ordering. Alphabetical ages best. By seniority looks deliberate and causes an argument every time somebody joins or leaves. We will make either, and we will say which one we would choose.

Setting up your file.
- 01Send the logo as a vectorLetters and shapes are cut from your outlines, so we need AI, EPS, SVG or PDF, not a screenshot or a JPEG.
- 02Measure the real spaceWidth, height and a straight-on photo of the wall or fascia. The tape measure often disagrees with the drawing.
- 03Send names as textFor plates and directories, send names and titles in a document, so nothing is retyped from an image.
- 04Tell us about power and the wallFor lit signs, where the nearest power point is. For every sign, what the wall is made of.
Quick answers.
Yes, each line is a separate slide in strip.
As many as you like. We size for growth.
Alphabetical. It ages far better.
