Debossed text is pressed into the rubber and ink filled, or embossed so it stands proud. Either way it is part of the band and cannot wear off the way a printed one does. Surface printed text on silicone wears off within weeks of daily use.

These slide on and off freely, so anybody can pass one to anybody else. For ticketed access they are the wrong product entirely. A steward cannot tell a genuine band from a spare, and spares are easy to come by.

Silicone bands come in set diameters, typically adult and child. There is no adjustment, so the wrong size is simply the wrong size and cannot be made to work. Order a split across both sizes if children are expected, and keep them separated at handout.

Single colour, segmented, swirled or glow in the dark. For awareness campaigns the colour frequently is the message, and the text is a secondary confirmation. Glow in the dark reads well at an evening event and costs more per band.

Moulds have to be made, so these carry a larger minimum order than any printed band. Below a few hundred the setup dominates the price. Above a thousand the unit cost drops sharply, which is where these start to make sense.

Lead times are longer than printed bands because of the tooling, so these need ordering well ahead of a campaign date. Allow a couple of weeks more than you would for a printed band.
