Fabric Wristbands in Dubai: Worn for Three Days Straight

A fabric wristband goes on at a gate and stays on until the event ends, through showers, swimming and sleep. Fabric wristbands in Dubai are the standard for multi day festivals and conferences, and everything about them is built around not coming off.

How it's made

From your file to the finished job.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.

01 / 06

The Lock Only Closes Once

A metal or plastic slider grips the woven band and will not release. Removing it means cutting it, which is exactly the security the organiser is paying for. Check the slider is fully seated as you fit it, since a loose one is the usual reason a band turns up on the floor.

02 / 06

Woven or Printed Changes the Finish

Woven bands have the design threaded into the fabric and feel like a product. Printed bands carry photographic detail and gradients that weaving cannot reproduce, at lower cost. Woven suits a logo and a few words. Printed suits sponsor artwork with photographs in it.

03 / 06

It Survives Water

Polyester webbing dries quickly and the print does not run. For a festival with a pool or a water feature this is the whole reason fabric is chosen over paper. Bands dry on the wrist within minutes and do not stiffen as they go.

04 / 06

Colour Does the Access Control

Stewards read colour from a distance faster than they read anything printed. General, VIP, artist and crew each get a distinct colour, and the printed detail is secondary. Keep a written colour key with each gate team so nobody is deciding at the entrance.

05 / 06

People Keep Them

Fabric bands stay on wrists for weeks after an event. That afterlife is worth something, and it is the argument for spending more than a paper band costs. Some people wear them until they fall apart, which keeps the event visible for weeks.

06 / 06

Boxed by Type and Colour

Counted bundles per colour so each entrance receives exactly what it needs without anybody counting on the night. One colour can be split across several boxes if you are opening multiple entrances.

Being realistic about sizing: one length fits most adults with a slider, and children need a shorter band or a different product. If the event is family oriented, order both and keep them visibly separate at the gate.

Compare with Tyvek wristbands, silicone wristbands, and event wristbands.
