Catalogue Printing in Dubai: A Document Nobody Reads Front to Back
A catalogue is used, not read. Somebody opens it at a section, finds a product, checks a code and closes it again. Catalogue printing in Dubai has to serve that behaviour, which makes the navigation furniture on every page as important as the photography.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.
A Glued Spine Carries the Weight
Above the point where staples give up, pages are gathered into a block, the spine is roughened, glue is applied and a wrapped cover is pressed on. The result has a flat printed spine that can be read on a shelf, which a stapled booklet does not.
The Spine Width Comes From the Paper
How thick the block ends up depends on the page count and the bulk of the chosen stock, and the cover artwork cannot be finished until that figure is known. We calculate it and send it to you, and it is the one dimension that cannot be estimated.
Page Furniture Repeats on Every Spread
Running heads, section colours, page numbers and a thumb index are what let somebody find page ninety without the contents page. On a long document this scaffolding is doing more work than the layout.
Product Photography Has to Be Consistent
Images shot at different times under different light produce a catalogue that looks assembled from several sources. Same angle, same background, same scale across a range is what makes a page of twelve products read as one family.
Paper Choice Is About Bulk, Not Just Looks
Two hundred pages on a heavy coated stock is a brick that costs a great deal to post. A lighter sheet with good opacity keeps the weight down without showing print through from the reverse, and on a long run that choice moves the whole budget.
Proofed as a Bound Dummy
We bind a blank dummy at the real page count and stock so you can hold the thickness and feel the weight before committing to a long run.
Being realistic about the reprint. Catalogues go out of date, and specifications and ranges change. A twelve month catalogue is a twelve month document, so printing a very large quantity to get a lower unit figure often ends with pallets being pulped. Print to what you will actually distribute.
Compare with booklet printing, company profile printing, and marketing collateral printing.

Setting up your file.
- 01Work at the finished sizeSet the page to the exact trimmed size of the piece, not a larger sheet with crop marks drawn in.
- 02Add 3 mm bleedRun background colour and images 3 mm past every edge that gets trimmed, so no white line shows after cutting.
- 03Keep text off the edgeHold text and logos at least 4 mm inside the trim line, clear of the blade.
- 04Send a print-ready PDFCMYK, fonts embedded or outlined, images at 300 dpi at final size. AI, EPS and high-resolution JPEG also work.
