Pole Banners in Dubai: Two Faces, One Lamp Post, a Lot of Wind
A pole banner hangs off a lamp post or a column, usually in a long repeating line down a road or through a mall. Pole banners in Dubai are read from both sides by people moving in opposite directions, which decides nearly everything about how they are built.

Brackets Go On Before Anything Prints
The arms clamp around the pole and hold the banner top and bottom. Pole diameters vary more than people expect, so bracket sizing is confirmed on site first. A bracket that does not close properly is a safety problem at height.
Top and Bottom Are Both Held
Unlike most banners, a pole banner is fixed at both ends and held under tension between two arms. That tension is what stops it wrapping itself around the pole in the first strong gust.
Double Sided Means Two Prints
Two separate faces are printed and bonded with an opaque layer between them, so neither side shows through. Both faces read the right way round, which a single sheet could never manage.
They Are Made as a Run
Pole banners are almost always a sequence. Twelve along an avenue, alternating two designs. Numbering each banner on the hem saves an installer working out the order from a lift.
Through the Season
These take constant movement, so the bonded edge and the pocket seams are the parts that go first. Ordering a couple of spares with the run is cheap insurance on a twelve pole install.
Size Follows the Spacing
Banner width is set by how far apart the poles are. Close spacing down a mall walkway suits narrow banners and a repeating pattern. Widely spaced poles on an approach road want a larger banner and a single bold element, since each one is read on its own with a gap before the next.
A constraint to raise early. Lamp posts usually belong to the municipality or the property owner, and putting anything on them needs permission. Secure that before ordering, because printed pole banners are specific to the brackets and the pole and cannot easily go elsewhere.

- 03Tell us how it will be fixedHems, eyelets, pole pockets and frames take up material around the edge. Tell us the fixing and prepress allows for it.
- 04Send logos as vectorsAI, EPS, SVG or PDF keeps edges sharp at large sizes. Embed or outline the fonts.
