The Frame Carries the Lighting
LED strips run inside the extrusion itself, so there is no separate light box behind the fabric. That is what keeps the whole thing thin enough to pack flat.
Depth Is Traded for Portability
Because the frame is shallow, light has less distance to spread before it reaches the fabric. Good systems manage this with edge lighting and a diffusing cloth, and cheap ones show bright edges and a darker middle.
The Fabric Must Be Backlit Grade
A standard tension graphic looks grey and patchy when lit from within. Backlit fabric is denser and printed heavier, and it is the single thing that decides whether the wall looks good switched on.
It Needs Power on the Stand
One supply, usually a single socket, which has to be ordered from the venue in advance. This is the most common thing forgotten on a light wall booking.
It Assembles Like Any Tension Frame
Sections lock together, fabric beads into the channel, and the lighting connects as the frame goes up. Two people, no tools, under an hour for a large wall.
Checked Lit Before Delivery
Every wall is assembled and run here, because a failed strip inside an extrusion is a workshop job and not something to discover during build up. Ask the venue what the socket is rated at. A long light wall sharing one domestic socket with a screen and a kettle will trip during the show, and on the day that becomes a stand problem instead of an electrical one.
Being honest about brightness: a portable light wall will not match a deep built lightbox. In a dim venue it is striking. In a brightly lit mall atrium at midday the effect is much weaker, and a printed wall may serve just as well.
