Clear Film Shows the Surface Through It
Printed ink is translucent. On glass that reads as artwork floating in the air. On a dark bottle the same artwork sinks and goes muddy, because there is nothing bright behind it to bounce light back.
White Ink Is a Separate Layer
Where you need a solid colour to stay solid, we lay down white ink first and print on top of it. That gives you the choice: clear where you want the glass to show, backed with white where you want the colour to hold.
Bubbles Are Visible Here
On a white sticker a trapped bubble disappears. On clear film every bubble catches light and shows as a silver dot. Wet application is close to compulsory above a postcard size.
Inside or Outside the Glass
Outside is easier to fit and gets cleaned, rained on and picked at. Inside is protected and lasts far longer, but the artwork has to be printed in reverse so it reads correctly from the street.
The Edge Almost Disappears
A clear sticker cut square on clean glass is nearly invisible at the border, which is why these are the usual answer for opening hours and door notices that should not look like signage. Cut it square and clean and the only thing anybody notices is the artwork.
Printed With White Only Where Needed
We mark up which areas get a white backing and which stay clear, and that gets confirmed with you before the job runs.
The honest part is colour prediction. We can proof a clear sticker on paper and it will not look like the finished thing, because the paper is white and your glass is not. For anything colour critical, ask for a small sample on the real material.

- 02Add 3 mm bleedRun background colour and images 3 mm past every edge that gets trimmed, so no white line shows after cutting.
- 03Keep text off the edgeHold text and logos at least 4 mm inside the trim line, clear of the blade.
