Exhibition Stand Gate Entrances in Dubai: The Frame People Walk Through

A gate entrance is a structure over the opening of a stand, framing the way in and carrying the brand above head height. Exhibition stand gate entrances in Dubai do a job no back wall can, because they are visible down the whole length of an aisle.

How it's made

From your file to the finished job.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.

01 / 06

It Is Read From Along the Aisle

A back wall is only visible once somebody is standing in front of the stand. A gate is seen from thirty metres away, which is why the name goes on the header and not on the uprights.

02 / 06

Clear Height Is a Rule, Not a Choice

Venues set a minimum clearance under any structure people walk through. The header sits above that, which pushes the overall height up and brings it closer to the hall limit.

03 / 06

It Has to Stand on Its Own

A gate cannot lean on the neighbouring stands. Weighted feet or a connection back into the stand structure carries it, and that load is part of the design and not an afterthought.

04 / 06

It Defines the Entrance

On an open pitch with no walls, a gate is the only thing telling visitors where the stand begins. That spatial job matters as much as the branding on it.

05 / 06

Lighting Across the Header Helps

Spots washing the header separate it from the hall lighting. Without them a gate reads flat against a bright ceiling.

06 / 06

Built in Sections

Uprights and header travel separately and bolt together on site, since a complete gate rarely fits through a hall door. Decide what sits under the gate before the width is fixed. A gate framing an open walkway reads completely differently from one framing a counter, and the structure is usually ordered before anyone has settled which of those two it actually is. Settle it before the structure is ordered.

A practical note on overhead structures: anything above an aisle or a walkway attracts venue scrutiny, and some halls treat a gate as rigging requiring separate approval. Check the classification before the design is finalised.
