The Booth Opening Sets the Size
A prop that reaches outside the frame is cropped in every photo. Measure what the booth actually captures, usually a head and shoulders area, and build props that sit inside it. Oversized props are the single most common fault.
Text Has to Survive the Mirror
Many booths show a mirrored live preview, so guests see reversed text while posing and assume it is wrong. The printed photo comes out correct. Tell guests, or stick to symbols and shapes that read either way.
Print Quality Shows at Close Range
At one metre a camera resolves everything. Low resolution artwork that passes on a banner looks soft and blocky here, so we work from vector files or high resolution images and nothing in between.
Every Guest Touches Every Prop
Two hundred people handle the same twelve props across an evening. A matt laminate takes fingerprints and wipes clean, and without it the printed face is grey and smudged by the second hour.
A Basket Keeps the Set Together
Props scatter. A labelled basket or a stand beside the booth is what keeps a set of twelve from becoming a set of four, and it costs almost nothing to include.
Supplied as a Counted Set
Props arrive as a numbered set with the design sheet, so an operator running several events can check a box is complete before it leaves the office.
The honest limitation is lighting. Glossy laminate bounces a booth's flash straight back and puts a white hot spot across the middle of the prop. Matt costs the same and does not do this, so we default to matt and only use gloss if you ask.

- 02Match resolution to distanceSomething read from a few metres away needs far less resolution than a business card. Around 100 dpi at full size is usually plenty.
- 03Tell us how it will be fixedHems, eyelets, pole pockets and frames take up material around the edge. Tell us the fixing and prepress allows for it.
