Pole Pocket Banners in Dubai: A Sleeve Sewn to Fit Your Pole

A pole pocket is a tube sewn into the top or bottom edge so a bar can slide through it. Pole pocket banners in Dubai hang flat and still because the weight is carried along the whole width instead of at a handful of points, which is why they are used for anything that needs to look like a wall.

How it's made

From your file to the finished job.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.

01 / 06

We Ask for the Diameter First

The pocket is made to the pole you already have. A sleeve a few millimetres too tight will not take the bar at all, and one too loose lets the banner slide sideways along it and hang off centre.

02 / 06

The Hem Is Folded Deeper

Instead of turning back two centimetres, the edge folds back far enough to wrap the pole with clearance. That means the banner is printed with a deeper margin on the pocket edges, decided before printing.

03 / 06

The Seam Runs the Full Width

One continuous weld or stitch line closes the tube. Any gap in it becomes the place the pole catches when someone feeds it through in a hurry.

04 / 06

Top Only, or Top and Bottom

A top pocket alone lets the banner hang free and move. Adding a bottom pocket with a weighted bar holds it flat and still, which is what you want for a backdrop that will be photographed.

05 / 06

Fitting It

Slide the pole through, hang from the ends or from cord at each end. No tools and nothing to punch.

06 / 06

A Weight Bar at the Bottom

Where a banner hangs free in a lobby or an atrium, the bottom pocket takes a weighted bar instead of a fixed pole. The weight pulls the fabric straight without anchoring it to the floor, so the banner stays flat and still moves slightly in air. Without it, a free hanging banner curls at the lower corners within a week.

Something people discover late. Pocket edges lose a few centimetres of visible artwork to the fold. We allow for it in the layout, but it means any design with text close to the top or bottom edge needs rearranging before it goes on the machine.
