National and Country Flags in Dubai: Getting the Details Right
National flags are the one product where nobody is judging your taste, only your accuracy. The proportions, the exact shades and the orientation are all fixed by somebody else, and getting any of them slightly wrong is noticed immediately. National and country flags in Dubai are produced to those published specifications and not to a designer's file.
Every option here, one quote for all of them.
What happens to your order before it reaches you.
Five steps, from the brief you send us to the moment it is in place.
The Specification Comes First
Every national flag has a defined ratio and defined colours. We work from the official specification for each country, not from an image found online, because web versions of flags are frequently the wrong proportion and the wrong green.
Colour Is Proofed Before the Run
National colours are proofed and checked against the specification before a full run goes through. On the UAE flag the green in particular shifts easily on polyester and needs adjusting at the file stage.
Sizes Follow the Pole
Flag size is set by the pole it flies from, not chosen for its own sake. A flag too small for its pole looks neglected, and one too large fouls the halyard. Tell us the pole height and we will size it.
Sewn for the Setting
Outdoor national flags get doubled fly edges and rope and toggle or clip fittings. Indoor and ceremonial versions are finished with sleeves, and often with a fringe for National Day and official occasions.
Ready for the Occasion
National Day work is seasonal and the whole market orders at once. Late November is busy, and ordering in October gets you a better production slot.
There is a catch worth hearing first. Flags for official or government use sometimes have requirements beyond the published specification, set by the body involved. Ask them before ordering, because a correct flag can still be the wrong one for a particular ceremony. Related: table flags, decorative flags, and flag printing. Order of precedence matters when several national flags fly together, and it is set by protocol, not by preference. If the occasion is official, check the order with whoever is hosting before the flags are made, because changing it afterwards means reprinting.
