Poster Printing in Dubai: Which Press It Goes On
The size of a poster decides which machine prints it, and that decision changes the paper, the finish and the price. Poster printing in Dubai runs on digital presses up to A2 and on the large format machines above that, and knowing where your job falls explains most of the quote.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.
Up to A2 Goes Digital
Sheet fed digital presses handle event posters, retail promotions and notices at A3 and A2. Colour is consistent across a run and short quantities cost very little, which is why most office and retail work sits here.
Above A2 Goes Large Format
Beyond A2 the job moves to roll fed machines. These print as wide as the roll and as long as you need, so an unusual size costs no more to produce than a standard one.
Paper Weight Changes the Feel
A light poster curls on a wall and creases when handled. Heavier stock hangs flat and survives being put up and taken down, and the difference is obvious the moment someone picks one up.
Humidity Is the Real Enemy Here
Uncoated paper in a humid stairwell or anywhere near an outside door ripples within days in a Dubai summer. Lamination stops it completely and costs a fraction of reprinting.
Quantity Decides the Method
Ten posters is a digital job. Five hundred of the same poster may be cheaper offset, and we will tell you where that crossover falls for your size and stock.
Delivered Flat or Rolled
Small posters travel flat in board backed envelopes. Anything above A2 is rolled in a tube, since a fold line across a large poster never comes out. Order a few more than the count you need. Posters get torn putting them up, and a short run reprint of five costs most of what fifty would have, so the spares are effectively free at the time of the original order.
Being straightforward about artwork: a file that looks sharp on a laptop is frequently too low resolution at A1. We open every file at finished size and tell you before printing, because a soft poster cannot be rescued afterwards.

Setting up your file.
- 01Work at full size or to scaleBuild the file at full size, or at a stated scale such as 1:10 when the canvas gets too big, and tell us the scale.
- 02Match resolution to distanceSomething read from a few metres away needs far less resolution than a business card. Around 100 dpi at full size is usually plenty.
- 03Tell us how it will be fixedHems, eyelets, pole pockets and frames take up material around the edge. Tell us the fixing and prepress allows for it.
- 04Send logos as vectorsAI, EPS, SVG or PDF keeps edges sharp at large sizes. Embed or outline the fonts.
