Straight Wooden Backdrops in Dubai: Built by Carpenters, Not Printers
Some backdrops are not printed at all. They are built. Straight wooden backdrops in Dubai are carpentry: a timber frame, sheet panels, filler, paint and whatever is applied on top, and they look permanent in a way fabric never does.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.
It Starts as a Stud Frame
Timber uprights and noggins make a flat rigid structure. Everything that follows depends on this being true, because a twisted frame shows in the finished face as a wave across the paint.
Sheets Go On and Joins Disappear
Ply or MDF is fixed to the frame, then the joints are filled, sanded and primed until the wall reads as one surface. This filling and sanding is most of the labour.
The Paint Finish Decides the Look
Sprayed finishes read as architecture. Roller finishes read as a set. For a stand or a showroom where people stand close, spraying is worth the extra.
It Can Carry Real Weight
Shelves, screens, cabinets and lighting can all be fixed into a timber wall. Fabric and pop-up systems cannot take any of that, which is often the whole reason for building.
It Needs Transport and a Crew
Built walls are heavy, arrive on a vehicle and need more than two people. Installation is a build and not a setup, and the venue access has to allow for it.
Finished on Site
Final filling and touch up happen after assembly, because joints always move slightly in transport. Agree the finish before the frame is built. A sprayed wall needs a controlled space and time to cure, and deciding on a sprayed finish after the structure is assembled usually means the job moves back by several days while the workshop is cleared and the spray area is set up for the job.
Being clear about reuse: a timber wall can be dismantled and rebuilt a few times, but filled and painted joints do not survive indefinitely. Treat it as a structure for one significant project, not a travelling kit.

More than two, with vehicle access.
A few times. Painted joints wear with handling.
