Media Press Wall Backdrops in Dubai: Built for the Photograph, Not the Room
A press wall is the only backdrop whose success is measured somewhere else entirely, in the picture desk of a publication that was never in the room. Media press wall backdrops in Dubai are specified from the camera position backwards.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.
The Camera Line Sets the Width
Photographers stand in a fixed spot and shoot a group of two to six people. The wall has to extend beyond that group at both ends, because a backdrop that runs out at the edge of the frame shows the venue behind it.
Sponsor Order Is Settled First
Who appears, how often and in what sequence is usually contractual. We need that agreed before layout, since changing it afterwards means reprinting the whole graphic instead of adjusting a file.
It Cannot Move When Touched
People lean on press walls during interviews. The frame is weighted and braced so it does not rock, because a backdrop that shifts mid interview appears in the video.
Lighting Comes From Two Sides
A single light source leaves one half of the wall brighter in every frame. Two lights at an angle even it out, and the wall finish is chosen to suit whatever lighting the venue actually has.
There Is Usually a Floor Element
A mark on the floor tells speakers where to stand, which keeps them inside the lit area and centred on the logo arrangement. It costs very little and prevents most framing problems.
Struck Immediately After
Press walls come down as soon as the media call ends, so the frame is built for quick dismantling in a busy room. Agree who owns the wall after the event. Press walls are frequently produced for a single announcement and then stored by whoever happens to have the van, and a clear owner is what keeps it available for the next one.
The straightforward advice: do a test photograph before the event. Stand two people in front of it, take a picture on a phone with flash, and look at it. Every problem a press wall can have shows up in that one image.
