Metal Plate Base Flags in Dubai: Flat, Heavy and Out of the Way
A metal plate base is a single flat disc or square of steel with a socket at its centre. No arms, nothing raised, nothing to catch a foot. Metal plate base flags in Dubai are the indoor base of choice in places where people walk close to the flag all day.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.
Nothing Sticks Out
A flat plate sits tight to the floor with a low profile edge. In a lobby, a shop or an exhibition aisle it is the only base that does not become an obstacle.
Weight Is in the Plate Itself
Steel thickness provides the hold, so there is nothing to fill and nothing to add. What you carry in is what holds the flag up.
Footprint Is Smaller Than a Cross
Because stability comes from mass instead of spread, a plate holds a flag in a far smaller area, which matters on a crowded stand.
It Marks Soft Floors
Concentrated weight on a small area can dent vinyl or mark timber. Felt pads underneath solve it and are worth specifying for hotel and showroom use.
It Is Heavy to Move
The same mass that makes it stable makes it the least pleasant base to carry across a venue. For teams moving between sites repeatedly, fibre or a water base is kinder.
Finished for Interiors
Powder coated in black, white or chrome so it reads as part of the display instead of as workshop hardware. Where these go into a hotel or a showroom, specify the pads at the time of order. Retrofitting them after a floor has been marked solves nothing. Thickness, not diameter, is what you are buying. A thin wide plate flexes slightly under a tall pole and lets the flag lean, while a thicker plate of smaller diameter stays flat and holds the pole genuinely upright.
One honest point on outdoor use: a flat plate presents no resistance to a flag being blown sideways and can slide across a smooth hard surface in strong wind. Outdoors on tile, a wide cross base with weight is the safer choice.
