Water Base Flags in Dubai: Weight You Carry Empty
A water base is a hollow plastic ring or drum that weighs almost nothing until it is filled on site. Water base flags in Dubai exist because moving twenty kilos of steel into a venue is a different job from carrying an empty plastic ring and finding a tap.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.
Empty Going In, Heavy Standing Up
One person carries several empty. Filled, each one holds a flag down properly. That transformation is the entire argument for the product.
It Needs Water Available
Obvious and regularly forgotten. On a remote site, a rooftop or a beach with no supply, a water base is a liability and steel weights are the right call.
Fill It Completely
A partly filled base holds less and the water sloshes, which lets the flag rock. Fill to the top and cap it.
Empty It Before Moving
Dragging a full base across tiles scratches the floor and strains the plastic. Drain, carry, refill. It takes less time than the damage takes to explain.
Sun Is Hard on the Plastic
Left outdoors permanently, these go brittle over a few seasons and eventually split at a seam. Stored in shade between uses they last for years.
Stackable Empty
Most designs nest, so a dozen empty bases take up very little room in a store or a van. Bring a funnel and a short hose. Filling a dozen bases from a tap with no hose is the slowest part of any setup, and it is entirely avoidable. In winter the water sits for weeks and goes stagnant, which is unpleasant for whoever empties it. Where a base stands filled for a long period, a capful of disinfectant at filling solves a problem nobody thinks about until the first drain.
The honest limitation is how much they hold. A water base is sized for one flag of a given height. Used under a cluster or a very tall pole it will not be enough, and no amount of filling changes that.

Quick answers.
Enough for one flag of its rated height.
It will go brittle. Store it in shade.
Drain it first. Dragging damages both floor and base.
