Cross Base Flags in Dubai: Four Arms on a Hard Floor
A cross base is four arms meeting at a central socket, usually folding flat for transport. Cross base flags in Dubai are the standard answer on tile, marble, tarmac and anywhere a spike cannot go into the ground.

The Spread Does the Work
Stability comes from the width of the arms, not from the weight of the base itself. A wide cross with modest weight resists tipping better than a narrow heavy one.
It Is Designed to Carry More
Most cross bases have a central platform for a water tank or steel weights. The base alone is rarely enough outdoors, and it is not meant to be.
It Folds for Transport
Arms hinge in so the base packs flat alongside the pole. For teams moving between venues this is usually the deciding feature.
Arms Are a Trip Hazard
Four low arms in a pedestrian area catch feet. In busy spaces we cover them, or use a flat plate base instead where the footprint matters more than the stability.
It Suits the Whole Sail Family
The central socket takes blade, feather, teardrop and curved top poles, so a client with one set of bases can change flag shapes freely.
Supplied Flat
Bases ship folded and go together without tools, usually in under a minute per flag. Buy one or two more bases than flags. Bases outlive graphics by years, and having spares means a new flag can go up without waiting on hardware. Arm length varies between products and it matters more than the weight rating printed on the box. A base with short arms and heavy weights will still tip before a wider base carrying less, because leverage is doing the work and a wider stance resists the tipping moment far better.
A straightforward warning about weights: an empty water tank is a plastic ring and contributes nothing. Bases that will not be filled on site should be specified with steel weights, because an unfilled tank is the most common reason a flag ends up on its side.
Compare with water bases, metal plate bases, and bases and hardware.
