Branded Umbrellas in Dubai: Shade That Carries a Logo
A branded parasol is furniture first and advertising second. It has to provide real shade on a terrace where people are sitting for an hour, and it has to survive a season of being opened every morning. Branded umbrellas in Dubai are judged on both.

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.
The Base Is Most of the Cost
A parasol needs serious weight underneath it, far more than people expect. Concrete or filled bases in the twenty to forty kilogram range are normal, and an undersized base is the single most common fault on a terrace.
Rib Count Decides Durability
More ribs means the canopy holds its shape and resists inverting. Cheap parasols with few ribs flap at the edges, then fold back on themselves the first time a gust catches them open.
Printing Goes on the Valance and Panels
Panel printing is visible from a distance and from above. The valance, the hanging border, is read at eye level by people walking past, and it is usually where the name belongs.
Colour Fades Fastest Up There
A parasol takes direct overhead sun for its whole life. Even good fabric lightens over a couple of seasons here, and dark colours show it first.
It Must Close Easily
Staff open and close these twice a day. A mechanism that needs two people or a tool gets left open overnight, which is how parasols are lost to wind.
Supplied With the Base
We quote the parasol, the canopy print and a base sized to it, because the three only work together and a base bought separately is usually too light. Order one spare canopy with the first batch. Terrace parasols get damaged individually by wind or a dropped glass, and a single replacement canopy bought two years later rarely matches the colour of the others on the terrace.
The honest point about longevity: an outdoor parasol in this climate is a two to three year item, not a ten year one. Buying a replaceable canopy on a good frame is a better plan than expecting one unit to last indefinitely.

- 01Work at full size or to scaleBuild the file at full size, or at a stated scale such as 1:10 when the canvas gets too big, and tell us the scale.
- 02Match resolution to distanceSomething read from a few metres away needs far less resolution than a business card. Around 100 dpi at full size is usually plenty.
- 03Tell us how it will be fixedHems, eyelets, pole pockets and frames take up material around the edge. Tell us the fixing and prepress allows for it.
- 04Send logos as vectorsAI, EPS, SVG or PDF keeps edges sharp at large sizes. Embed or outline the fonts.
