Toothpick Flags in Dubai: The Smallest Thing We Print
A toothpick flag is a few centimetres of printed paper or fabric on a cocktail stick, pushed into a canape, a cupcake or a sandwich. Toothpick flags in Dubai go out in thousands at corporate catering, national day buffets and product launches, and they are the smallest branded item we make.
Quantity: 50 pieces · Material: Knitted polyester · Printed sides: Single sided

Six steps happen between the brief and the finished job. Here they are, in the order they happen on our floor in Dubai South.
Detail Does Not Survive at This Size
A logo a centimetre wide loses fine lines, thin strokes and small text. We simplify to the strongest element, usually a symbol or an initial, and show you a proof at actual size before printing.
Shape Is Usually a Flag or a Pennant
A small rectangle folded around the stick, or a triangle. The fold is what holds it, so artwork has to allow for the portion wrapping around the pick.
Food Contact Needs Stating
These touch food. Tell us what they are going into, because that determines the material and the finish we will supply and there are things we will not use near food.
They Are Assembled by Hand
Printing is quick. Attaching several thousand flags to several thousand sticks is the slow part, and it is why lead time on these is longer than the size suggests.
Quantities Are Always Large
Catering runs through them at a rate nobody expects. A three hundred guest event will use well over a thousand across a buffet.
Delivered Ready to Use
Boxed in counted quantities so the catering team can take what they need per station without counting on the day. Order these earlier than feels necessary. The assembly is manual, the quantities are large, and catering orders almost always arrive with less notice than the production actually needs. Keep the design to one colour where you can. At this size a second colour has to register against the first, and any slight movement during assembly shows as a misaligned edge on every flag in the box.
The straightforward limitation: at this scale there is no such thing as a detailed toothpick flag. If the logo is intricate, accept a simplified mark or choose a larger item, because an unreadable miniature helps nobody.

Setting up your file.
- 01Work at full size or to scaleBuild the file at full size, or at a stated scale such as 1:10 when the canvas gets too big, and tell us the scale.
- 02Match resolution to distanceSomething read from a few metres away needs far less resolution than a business card. Around 100 dpi at full size is usually plenty.
- 03Tell us how it will be fixedHems, eyelets, pole pockets and frames take up material around the edge. Tell us the fixing and prepress allows for it.
- 04Send logos as vectorsAI, EPS, SVG or PDF keeps edges sharp at large sizes. Embed or outline the fonts.
