Heavier Cloth Hangs Properly
A light knit crumples against the pole indoors. A weightier woven polyester falls in long even folds, and that is what makes a flag look deliberate on a stage.
The Pole Edge Carries Everything
All load is on the hoist edge permanently, for years. That seam is doubled and the corners are bar tacked, because indoor flags fail from slow pull and not from wear.
Stage Lighting Is Unforgiving
Strong directional light shows every crease and any sheen difference across the fabric. Matt finish cloth photographs far better under it.
Height Suits the Platform
Around two to two and a half metres including the base and finial, so the flag sits above a seated panel and beside a standing speaker without crowding either.
Bases Must Not Travel
On a polished stage floor, a weighted disc base holds without a mat. Light bases slide when somebody walks past, and on camera that movement is obvious.
Dressed Before Delivery
We hang each flag in the workshop and set the folds by hand so it arrives sitting correctly and needs no work on site. Where flags travel to venues regularly, a wheeled case is worth having. Flags carried loose arrive creased, and creases under stage lighting are the one fault a camera always finds. Keep a second flag for any logo that changes. Companies rebrand, sponsors come and go, and a stage set with one current flag and two outdated ones is noticed by every person photographing the event.
Something worth planning for. Flags shipped folded arrive creased, and creases photograph badly under stage lights. Allow a day of hanging before the event, or ask us to deliver them hung and dressed.
